Flavors and style

An elegant red wine with aromas of wild berries, cherries, herbs, and a hint of spice. The texture is soft and velvety, with a fine acidity and a long finish. The alcohol content is approximately 11.5%.

Terroir and cellar work

The grapes are 60% Pinot Noir, 20% Blaufränkisch, and 20% Pinot Gris. The vines grow on the 0.5-hectare Zadní Hora plot, planted in 1988 and of particular significance to Milan Nestarec. The wine is cultivated biodynamically, fermented spontaneously, and aged for an extended period in used wooden barrels. It is bottled unfiltered and unfined, with minimal or no use of sulfur.

Fits

Ideal with dishes such as game, grilled meat, mushroom dishes, or mature cheeses. It also makes an excellent accompaniment to spicy stews or Mediterranean dishes.
