Flavors and style
Kisi for Ana 2021 is a vibrant orange wine made from the indigenous Georgian grape variety Kisi. The nose reveals dried apricots, candied citrus fruits, wild herbs, and a hint of honey. On the palate, it presents a fine tannin structure, lively acidity, and an invigorating minerality. Expressive, fresh, and elegant—an uncompromising wine with great depth.
Terroir and cellar work
The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards in Georgia's Kartli region, growing on calcareous, sandy soils. After a prolonged maceration period of approximately 20 days, spontaneous fermentation takes place underground in traditional qvevri clay amphorae. The wine is vinified unfiltered, unfined, and without the addition of sulfur—close to nature, artisanal, and with a strong connection to the terroir.
Fits
Ideal with Mediterranean dishes such as grilled vegetables, falafel, fried halloumi, or couscous salads. It also pairs well with roasted poultry, spicy curries, or fermented vegetables—a versatile partner for many aromatic dishes.
Contains sulfites.
