Niklas Rückrich is the fourth generation to manage his winery in Eckelsheim, located in the heart of the Rhenish-Hessian region. He has been certified organic since 2025 and follows a clear philosophy: hand-picked grapes, spontaneous fermentation, long maturation periods on the lees, and minimal intervention in the cellar.

The approximately 14 hectares of vineyards are located on rare porphyry-rich volcanic soils, which lend the wines a distinctive minerality and cool elegance. The focus is on classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, which retain their original character through careful processing.

In the cellar, Rückrich relies on natural aging – often in used oak, unfiltered, and with very little sulfur. The wines are vibrant, pure, and clear in expression – always with the goal of emphasizing the balance between origin, grape variety, and the winemaker's signature.
