Flavors and style

The 2022 Tramín from Loigi Wines is expressive and aromatic. The nose reveals rose petals, lychee, nutmeg, and ripe yellow fruits. On the palate, it is soft and full-bodied, with well-integrated acidity and a spicy-floral finish. A characterful wine that beautifully balances fruitiness and freshness.

Terroir and cellar work

The grapes come from biodynamically farmed vineyards near Znojmo in South Moravia (Czech Republic). The soils consist of granite and loess. The grapes are hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented in small batches – either in wooden barrels or in Georgian qvevri amphorae. The wine remains on the fine lees for a long time, is not filtered or fined, and only minimally sulfurized.

Fits

It's ideal with spicy dishes such as mild curries, Asian dishes with ginger or lemongrass, grilled poultry, or even creamy soft cheese. It's also an aromatic delight on its own.
