Flavors and style:

The Furmint Iglič is powerful yet precise. Aromas of ripe apple, quince, citrus zest, and delicate herbs, along with a hint of wet stone, are evident on the nose. On the palate, it's mineral, taut, and elegant, with fine, lively acidity and a long, saline finish. A complex, terroir-driven Furmint that combines depth with clarity.

Terroir and cellar work:

The grapes come from the single vineyard Iglič in Haloze, Slovenia – a steep, barren plot with calcareous marl soils, which defines its mineral character. The wine is produced using a natural method: hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, and extended aging in used wooden barrels and stainless steel. Unfiltered, unfined, and minimally sulfurized – an honest wine that brings the pure terroir to the glass.

Fits:

Perfect with fried fish, seafood, delicate mushroom dishes, or hearty vegetarian dishes. It also pairs well with mature cheese—or enjoy it on its own to discover the finesse of this single-vineyard Furmint.
