Flavors and style:

Hišno Vino Noir boasts a clear, light ruby color and a fragrant bouquet of juicy red berries, cherries, and a delicate herbal spice. On the palate, it is light-footed, fresh, and playful, with soft tannins, refreshing acidity, and a pleasantly juicy flow. An elegant, uncomplicated natural wine that, despite its lightness, offers depth and character.

Terroir and cellar work:

The grapes come from biodynamically farmed vineyards in Štajerska, Slovenia, on steep slopes with limestone and marly soils. Michael and Maria Gross rely on gentle hand-picking, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The Noir is traditionally fermented on the skins and then aged for several months in used wooden barrels. Unfiltered, unfined, and filled with minimal sulfur – this ensures it remains pure and authentic.

A versatile accompaniment to antipasti, poultry, grilled vegetables, or mild cheeses. It also tastes great slightly chilled—perfect for relaxed evenings, picnics, or as a fine everyday food wine.
