Vino Gross - Haloze Blanc

Flavors and style:

The Haloze Blanc is fresh, clear, and complex. Aromas of green apple, citrus fruits, and white flowers on the nose, along with a subtle mineral note. Crisp and lively on the palate, with precise acidity, a delicate texture, and a long, salty, mineral finish. An elegant, terroir-focused white wine with a clear signature and a great drinking pleasure.

Terroir and cellar work:

Haloze Blanc comes from the steep vineyards of the Haloze region in Štajerska Slovenija. Michael and Maria Gross cultivate their vines biodynamically on barren limestone and marl soils at elevations of 350–400 meters. Hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, and gentle aging in large, used oak and stainless steel vats preserve the finesse and freshness. Unfiltered, unfined, and minimally sulfurized—a wine that brings its origins pure to the glass.

Fits:

Ideal with fresh fish, seafood, white meat, or light vegetable dishes. It also makes a clear, elegant delight with spicy Asian cuisine or on its own as an aperitif.
