Tomas Rezny - Riesling

Flavors and style:

The Riesling Rýnský presents itself with clear aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, and a fine mineral signature. On the palate, this dry white wine is fresh and lively, with elegant acidity, a delicate texture, and a beautiful melt—invigorating, clear, and with a pleasant length.

Terroir and cellar work:

Tomáš & Klara Režný produce this Riesling from biodynamically farmed vines in Bořetice (South Moravia). After hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and a brief skin-on-skin rest (about one day) follow. The wine then ages for approximately 10 months in used oak barrels, unfiltered and without fining, with minimal sulfur addition before bottling. This artisanal, natural process authentically reflects the terroir-focused character of the calcareous and clayey soils.

Fits:

Ideal as a versatile accompaniment: with grilled fish or white poultry, fresh summer salads, Asian vegetable steamers, and mild soft cheeses. It also makes a refreshing treat on its own as an elegant aperitif.
