Flavors and style

The "Kontakt Weiß" has aromas of mandarin orange, lemon curd, and white blossoms. On the palate, it is juicy, citrusy, and salty and mineral—easy to drink, full of character, and with a fine grip.

Terroir and cellar work

The grapes come from steep terraced vineyards on the Moselle River, on barren, volcanic slate soils. Hand-picking, gentle maceration, and spontaneous fermentation characterize the style. The wine ages for seven months on the full lees in used barriques and tonneaux – unfiltered, unfined, and with only minimal sulfur. A wine with a natural expression and a clear signature.

Fits

Perfect with marinated vegetables, fried fish, goat cheese, or Asian cuisine with citrus flavors. It's also a real treat on its own—uncomplicated, but never banal.
