Flavors and style
Kosovec Rosé 2022 is a vibrant rosé made from Pinot Noir, vinified in the natural style. Aromas of cherry, pomegranate, fresh watermelon, and herbs unfold on the nose. On the palate, it presents itself with a fine structure, lively acidity, and an invigorating minerality. A clear, fresh, and elegant wine with a touch of Mediterranean lightness.
Terroir and cellar work
The grapes come from Ivan Kosovec's organically farmed vineyards in the Moslavina region of Croatia. The soils are calcareous and benefit from a continental climate with Mediterranean influences. After a short maceration period, fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the wine's freshness and fruitiness. Aging takes place without filtration and with minimal use of sulfur – an authentic, artisanal approach that underscores the character of the terroir.
Fits
Ideal with grilled vegetables, fresh salads, roasted chicken, or fish dishes. It also pairs harmoniously with pasta with tomato sauce, Mediterranean tapas, or goat cheese.
