Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer are among the pioneers of Burgenland's natural wine scene. Located in the small town of Gols, directly on Lake Neusiedl, they have been demonstrating since the 1990s how uncompromisingly vibrant, distinctive, and yet accessible natural wine can be.

The vines grow on barren soils around Gols, and the vineyards are cultivated in a natural way with a keen sense of the vineyard's vitality. Hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation, little or no sulfur, and patience in the cellar – this is how wines are created that don't have to be loud to be memorable. From fine, drinkable cuvées to exciting single-vineyard wines, everything at Pittnauer is made by hand, honestly, and always with a touch of punk at its heart.

Pittnauer stands for natural wine without dogma – approachable, playful, yet profound. If you want to taste Lake Neusiedl in your glass, this is the place to be.
